I BET THAT IF TWO KIDS LIVED IN THOSE TWO HOUSES THAT THEY WOULD COME OUT ON THEIR ALMOST CONJOINING ROOFS OUTSIDE THEIR BEDROOM WINDOWS AND TALK AND BE BEST FRIENDS AND FALL IN LOVE.
then in their teens they would experiment with drugs - one of them, high as a kite; rolls off the ledge as the other pays no attention, the fall is not particularly high but he hits the ground at an awkward angle and is left with nerve and spinal damage that will last the rest of his life.
